That is easy to assemble
these look great, very colorful, assembly is a breeze (there is video available that demonstrates this)
pay special attention to the two squares in the back, they are actually photo frames. The bench also serves as storage

A new start; a new category
With relaZENships we start of with a design item and try to link it to another item based on characteristics, period, materials, techniques or any other way, the new related object will then be used as a new starting point and so on.
Today we will start with a classic, the egg chair by Arne Jacobsen.
Designed in 1951 for the yet to be built Radisson SAS hotel in Copenhagen, it quickly became a popular design that is still being produced by Fritz Hansen. The Radisson Hotel still features these in their lounge.
Read more about the Radisson and the Egg chair on the Hotel website
In the Radisson hotel, another one of Arne’s designs is featured, the Swan chair, also produced by Fritz Hansen.
Designed in 1958, 7 years after the Egg, it features similar patterns and lines as the Egg chair, be it on a smaller size, that makes it a perfect companion for the Egg chair. Both of the chairs share the same feet which makes them even more complementary.
If you’re not paying attention, it is easy to confuse the Swan chair with another design classic, the Little Tulip, designed by Pierre Paulin and produced by Artifort
The little tulip is made up from two different parts compared to the Swan, but the overall concept is very similar. Artifort is producing this chair since it was designed in 1965.
Also available as a barstool or the tulip, its bigger brother
the name tulip is not unique to Paulin, Saarinen designed the tulip chair in 1968 for Knoll
This particular design shares some lines with a open mouth that could probably create a relationship with a very controversional urinal that was first introduced in the Virgin Airways Clubhouse at JFK around 2004

But I’m going to go for the Mae West Lips Sofa, designed by Salvador Dali in 1937

The original does not look incredible, but many variations have since been made using improved production processes resulting in a more appealing shape..
That’s it, the first in what, hopefully, becomes a series of relaZenships.
